Update: 12/9/13 - Disney Channel Christmas Specials: Ross Lynch and Laura Marano Duet in ‘Austin and Ally,’ Dove Cameron Sings in ‘Liv and Maddie’ New Episode

Get into the spirit of the season this Sunday on Disney Channel with brand new holiday-themed episodes of Austin and Ally and Liv and Maddie. This weekend, you can rock around the Christmas tree with Ross Lynch and Laura Marano or sing carols with Dove Cameron in two all new Christmas specials.

The night kicks off with an all new episode of Liv and Maddie, starting at 8 p.m. The Chirstmas-themed special, titled “Fa La La La-A-Rooney,” features Dove Cameron trying the show up a little girl in a singing competition.

In the series, Cameron plays both Liv and Maddie. Dove spoke with BOP & Tiger Beat earlier in the year about what it is like to play two parts:

“A lot of what you will see on Liv and Maddie is organic and spontaneous. I love that we have room for creativity and input. You would think the hardest aspect of playing two polar opposite people would be the constant switching back and forth while keeping in character. Surprisingly, that’s been the easiest part!”

The episode will be followed by a brand new Austin and Ally. Ross Lynch and Laura Marano share the stage in an all new duet, “I Love Christmas”

The official synopsis for the episode titled, "Mix-Ups & Mistletoes” reads:

“Trish is organizing a Club For Kids at Christmas in Austin and Ally will perform their original Christmas song and distribute Dolls Austin Moon, but a mess in the toy factory makes Austin dolls stay with the voice of Ally, and she and Trish should prevent Austin start distributing the dolls. Meanwhile, Trish puts Dez and his arch-nemesis, Chuck, via a competition to determine who will be a better Santa Claus for Christmas. Songs Featured: ‘I Love Christmas’”

Be sure to catch the two all new episodes this sunday, starting at 8.p.m. on The Disney Channel.

Disney’s “Teen Beach Movie” is a HUGE hit! Fans love the cast, the singing and the dancing! In fact, there’s a very good chance that just like the Disney Channel Original Movies of the past that were super successful “Teen Beach Movie” could become a franchise.

Remember “High School Musical” got 3 movies – one even went to theaters – and “Camp Rock” had two movies.

With so much excitement surrounding the movie there’s almost no question that Disney will make a sequel. Hopefully Ross Lynch will find the time to film it in between working on the Disney Channel Original Series “Austin & Ally” and making music with his band R5.
